Recipease Jamie Oliver

I'm starting a new series on Maria Marmite! If you didn't know, I've already been blogging about my journeys to different places on the Travel Series.
Now, after contemplating on it for sometime, I've decided to begin the #foodporn Series!
The first installment is a quick trip to one of Jamie Oliver's restaurant/cafes - Recipease - located in Notting Hill Gate.
I have to say, I really liked the interior of the cafe. It was really comfortable and the overall cafe had a really nice atmosphere.
I think the fact that there was a whole kitchen in the middle of the room (they use the kitchen to teach the people how to cook certain Jamie Oliver recipes!), helped to create an informal and "homey" feel to the room.
The view of Notting Hill Gate I thought was really nice! You could really feel time slow down when you're inside the cafe looking out onto the busy streets of Notting Hill Gate.

Moving onto beverages, we ordered a Latte, fresh OJ and a Blueberry and Ginger Mojito. The Mojito was really nice! However, my mum was slightly disappointed in the Latte because it was lukewarm...

Food wise, we ordered: Smoked salmon with potato and radish salad and horseradish creme fraiche £5.95My mum and I were very pleased with this small plate! It actually filled us up and was very nice. Definitely worth the money.Mug of soup  & artisan bread £5.95The proportion  served was agreeable. The cumin was very strong, however, but overall a good soup. It had a very thick texture, but it was very good with the accompanied bread.Smashed spicy avocado £6.95This was by far the least worth of your money. There was nothing special and I felt as if it was tasteless. The flatbread, although oven baked, was also disappointing.

Interior: 4/5
Atmosphere: 4/5
Drinks: 3/5
Food: 3/5

Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Price Range: ££

I hope you enjoyed the first post of the #foodporn Series!
I'm really looking forward to sharing sharing my opinion on different foods!
The only thing I dislike about starting this series is the fact that I'll be turning into those people that take pictures of their food before eating.. Sigh~

Hope you enjoyed this blog post! Don't forget to comment below of your thoughts or recommendations of other restaurants and cafes to try out!
